Service Description
This class is for adults, ages 16 and up. There WILL BE homework between classes. Skill level: Must know how to use a sewing machine and sew a straight line. Previous experience with rotary cutters and with quilting squares and rectangles is preferred. We will meet 4 times- Monday night, Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29, 7-9pm. Triangles offer special challenges. We will discuss the difficulties often encountered and perfect our 1/4" seam. We will also learn to make a binding for the edge. Along the way we will play with the design variations possible with a set of blocks. Project will be a table runner and matching hot pad. Supplies needed: BRING TO FIRST CLASS *One crib-size package of quilt batting. (One package of batting will make several runners and can be shared between friends/classmates.) *Fabric: one-half (1/2) yard EACH of *2* coordinating fabrics for the front. One dark and one light *Fabric: Three-quarters (3/4) yard of 1 coordinating fabric for the back and binding. May be one of the fabrics from the front, or a third fabric. *Matching thread
