Kids Hand Sewing Doll Clothes

Service Description

Age 8-15. Child should already be comfortable using a needle & thread, and able to accurately cut fabric along a curved line. This is a camp format, meeting on Tues-Thurs afternoons, Aug 19-21, 1-3pm. We will make a simple dress, pants, and shirt for a favorite doll. Girls with more sewing skills will be instructed in creating a nicer finish, and can choose to add trims and details. Projects not completed in class can be finished at home. I have patterns for 18" dolls such as American Girl or Our Generation, 14" dolls such as Welly Wishers, and baby dolls such as Stella. We'll be digging into my stash of scraps and trims for our fabrics, so the child only needs to bring the doll. The child will receive patterns to keep and re-use. The parent will receive instructions for helping the child further develop their skills in the future.
