Sewing Clothing - Child's Dress

Service Description

For adults and teens 16+. We will meet 3-4 times for 2 hrs. There will be homework each week. Pattern used will be New Look 6763 (provided) for girl's sizes 3-8 OR Party Dress from independent designer Cottage Mama (free digital download) sizes 6mo-girl's size 10. Prior knowledge of machine use and the ability to sew a straight and curved seam are required. Learn to use a purchased clothing pattern, including vocabulary, diagrams and charts, layout and cutting, and clothing skills including hem, zipper or buttons, and gathers. We will look at the differences between traditional paper patterns and modern digital download patterns. A supply list will be provided at the first class. This class uses only basic sewing skills and focuses on understanding how to read and follow a purchased pattern. Use a studio machine or bring your own.
