Teen/Tween Room Decor

Service Description

This class is for age 10 & up and will be 3 afternoons from 2-4pm. Mon, Tues, Wed, Dec 28, 29, & 30. Student must already be comfortable using a sewing machine independently. A household iron, a staple gun, and a hot glue gun will also be used in this class. We will make 4 custom projects for a bedroom- an appliquéd throw pillow, a standard pillow case, a fabric-covered memo board, and a pennant banner. Supplies needed- bring to first class: Throw pillow: 2/3 yard primary fabric, and 1 fat quarter contrasting accent fabric. 1 pillow form of desired size, 1 spool matching thread. Standard pillowcase: 3/4 yard primary fabric, 1/4 yard (NOT a fat quarter) accent fabric, one package coordinating rick-rack or 1" lace. 1 spool matching thread. Message board: 1 yard fabric, 6+ yards 1/2" ribbon trim, 10 motifs of similar width as ribbon-buttons, decorative bows or flowers, etc. Banner: 1 spool of 1/2"-1" wide ribbon.
