Teens Custom Skirt Pattern

Service Description

A camp schedule of 4 afternoons. June 22-25, 1-4pm. $150 Age 13-18. Student should already be comfortable using a machine, including threading, basic troubleshooting, straight and curved seams. We will create a custom-fit pattern and use it to create several skirts of the student's design. Bring to first class: one flat sheet or several yards of cotton fabric to be used to create and fit the pattern. This does not need to be high-quality fabric, and a thrift shop sheet will be sufficient. Other fabric requirements will be based on the student's design choices and will be determined on the first day. Depending on how quickly the student works, they may make several skirts, so the investment in fabric and notions could be significant. See my page on Purchasing Fabric for shopping suggestions.
